PCA POTOMAC CONCOURS: Gathering of the Faithful (Sept. 27)

Join us September 27^th – The Manor at Silo Falls in Brookeville, MD as we celebrate Porsche's Air-Cooled Culture: 1953 - 1998

The details;

This is a unique display only event (no judges) no stress…

Awards presented in six classes, 1st - 3rd by People’s Choice vote

10:00am – 3:00pm at The Manor at Silo Falls | Brookeville, MD

The cost to register an Air-Cooled Porsche is $25.00 per car (includes event Dash Plaque) – Register at:  msreg.com/GOF2026

-Scenic Venue, great food, beautiful Air-Cooled Porsches

-Coffee, pastries, drinks etc. will be offered for a nominal charge by Silo Falls during the morning - Lunch will also be available during the afternoon

-Corral parking for non-air cooled Porsches - no fee, no registration required

Note: Volunteers are needed for this event to help with vehicle placement on the field, and tabulation of voting ballots. Please show-up on the day of the event, and ask to help and we’ll put you to work!  Thanks!

2027 EXECUTIVE BOARD ELECTION

The Nominating Committee is pleased to announce the upcoming election for the open positions on the 2027 Executive Committee. The positions to be filled for 2027 are Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President and President.

The slate for this year’s election will consist of one or more nominees for each open position and will be presented to the Club by the Nominating Committee in October.

Before the slate is finalized, Club members may submit additional nominations. Any member in good standing may be nominated through a written nomination supported by fifteen (15) active and/or family members in good standing.

All nominations must be submitted to the Nominating Committee (NomComm@pcapotomac.org) no later than September 28, 2026.

We encourage members to participate in the nomination and election process and thank you for your continued involvement in the Club.

PCA POTOMAC CONCOURS: ** Volunteers Needed for 2027 Season**

The Concours program is in need of volunteers to assist with Registration, Judging, and Scoring Tabulation for the upcoming 2027 season.  Come join the fun, learn something new, and get up-close and personal with lots of beautiful German machinery.  We’re looking for a couple of people to help with registration and scoring tabulation on the day of the event, and roughly 16 individuals to participate as judges, and /or to help with vehicle placement on the field.

Although some experience with either judging or showing a car is helpful, it’s not necessary as we will help and guide you along the way.  A more comprehensive judges training will be provided later in the fall or early spring.  Commitment is what we need, as we only host 2 - 3 judged events per year, while other concours events (Porschefest & Gathering of The Faithful) are People’s Choice events.  Please send an email expressing your interest to: concours@pcapotomac.org

Tire Rack Street Survival – Register Now for Sunday, October 25 Event

Registration is open for our second Tire Rack Street Survival (TRSS) program of the season. Students, coaches, and volunteers should sign up now.  

TRSS is a one-day event designed for new and inexperienced teen drivers. It combines classroom and in-car exercises, during which our DE and AX instructors instill young drivers with knowledge and skills in car control. Students learn a lot in just one day, and instructors find it rewarding to help these teens become more educated and safer on the street.

RALLY IS BACK! - Sunday, November 1st

We are excited to have Rally back on the Potomac calendar. Members, Angel & Chris (aka Mr & Mrs Petrone) have designed and organized a photo gimmick rally through Virginia Hunt Country. It promises to be fun, scenic, showcasing the beautiful backroads of Northern Virginia.

Inspired by a classic spy mission, teams will navigate using rally instructions, while completing a photo-based observation challenge. Success depends not on speed, but on careful observation, teamwork, and attention to detail.

This event is intended to be accessible to first-time rally participants, and an enjoyable challenge for experienced competitors.
