In a little over 3 weeks, the first of two Tire Rack Street Survival (TRSS) programs this year will be held on Sunday, May 31, on the Washington Circuit of Summit Point Motorsports Park, in Summit Point, WV. TRSS is a one-day, hands-on, real-world driving skills program for young drivers (15-21 years old). Students will have almost half a day in their own car with a PCA instructor, learning car control and safety maneuvers. These lessons will be reinforced in interactive classroom sessions. Students will learn: · How to avoid accidents · What to do when they skid · What to do when other drivers do stupid things · How to be safe when driving with others in the car · How to avoid distractions.
The cost is $175 per student. Parents are encouraged to attend and participate in the classroom sessions, and to watch their teenagers on the course. It's an invaluable real-time learning experience that saves lives. Past participants have told us that even teenagers who don’t think they will like – or need – the experience end up loving it.
